The Crank File: What I’m Reading This Week – March 18, 2020

Greetings comic book fans and welcome to another episode of the Crank File. Every Wednesday is new comic book day and on Tuesdays I like to spotlight some of the stuff I’ll be checking out.

It’s been a pretty hectic week all around so no commentary this week, just the picks. But I did want to take a moment to remind everyone to be smart and stay healthy, and to think of this as a good excuse to load up on comics and graphic novels and binge read all those titles that have been sitting in your must-read queue.

Here’s what I’m reading this week:

The robot is able to ”X-Ray” multiple dimensions and battles a nihilistic entity from another dimension who wants to take all life to its ”Pre-Big Bang” status.  Max and the robot embark on an interdimensional roadtrip through past and future to take down the ”Nihilist” and save the universe! * Mike Allred’s new bizarre superhero character X-Ray Robot! ”One of the best cartoonists in all of comics has done it again! X-Ray Robot is another Allred homerun!!” -Brian Michael Bendis  ”Michael Allred kicks so much ass I can barely stand it. X-Ray Robot is the work of a master!” -Rob Thomas, creator of Veronica Mars

The One I’m Buying for the Cover: DCeased Unkllables #2 (of 3)

And elsewhere, Deathstroke, Vandal Savage, and some of DC’s worst villains battle the apocalypse out as an ‘Anti-Suicide Squad.’ But a certain wondrous woman may not let them have it their own way!

That’s all I got this week. Until next time, carpe comics!
